Unlimited development potential
Reflect on your career and worklife so far… Cast your mind back to remember those people in your life who saw your potential; those who encouraged you to be the best you could be. Who were they? A teacher, a tutor, a friend, a boss, a colleague, a mentor? What did they see in you? Are you now more fulfilled as a result of their support and stimulation? Are you more successful? Are you closer to your life’s ambitions? It’s amazing the profound impact a select group of people we cross paths with can have on our achievements, our careers, and ultimately our lives.
It is precisely this sentiment that Protagion is based on: the overwhelmingly positive impact well-suited mentors can have on the path we take in life. We’re seeking people who share our passion for personal development, and are motivated to pass on their insights to others, coaching them to improve and excel. If this inspires you, please read on.

The World of Work is changingThe world of work is changing, bringing with it new challenges for those in the middle of their working lives, as well as those just starting out. Over recent decades, the frequency at which people change employers and jobs has increased significantly, and changing careers is becoming more and more common – whether to retrain given technological change, return to work following time away, reskill for future opportunities, or reignite a passion, people are no longer gaining all knowledge once and then using it until retirement. Instead, they are regularly updating their knowledge, exploring new areas of understanding, and reviewing the impact on their working lives. Given the responsibilities (personally and professionally) of and demands on today’s workers, full-time immersive training is no longer ideal for all, and targeted learn-and-apply methods with personalised guidance/coaching along the way are becoming more common.

The Power of Experience
One of the core principles of Protagion is Connection: bringing together people with experience, knowledge and skills with those who are eager to learn and grow. One individual can have multiple mentors, each skilled in different aspects they wish to improve. Similarly, one mentor will likely coach many proteges, adapting the learning to best support the needs of each protege.
Growing others
There are a number of benefits of mentoring for the mentor:
- Passing on your wealth of knowledge and experience, including sharing tips and potential pitfalls
- Achieving continued success through others, amplifying your impact for longer
- Giving back to your industry and/or profession through supporting the next generations of talent
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging trends as seen through the eyes of newer entrants to your specialisms
- Learning new skills from those you are mentoring
- Networking with other mentors as you share a common passion for development
- Earning additional income for the personalised support and guidance you provide
Growing yourselfAnd, as we recognise that many mentors have their own growth ambitions too, which may be a reason you’re giving back to others (who benefit from your support, insights and introductions), Protagion also allows you to:
